a. Any parent who is volunteering at Great American Ballpark or Paul Brown Stadium as
part of the program that gives money toward tuition aid should talk to Ms. Rusche.
There is concern from the IRS that rebates are going directly to the parents when they
should be going through the parish administrator for approval.
b. Currently, there are 406 students enrolled for the 2008-2009 school year. This
year, there are 423 students enrolled. The enrollment number changes daily. Karen
has reported that OLL has lost two families to St. Catharine’s and St. Martin’s so that
those families can benefit from the state voucher program (EdChoice) for their
kindergartners.
c. Girls’ Tech Corps program is going well. This program uses Mother of Mercy High
School girls to mentor OLL fourth and fifth grade girls in technology issues.
d. There will be a talk regarding prayer and liturgy on April 9, 2008.
a. Lunch Issues
This item was tabled until the April meeting.
b. Volunteerism Committee
Angela Hautman distributed a “Ministry/Service Form” for the Commission to review.
This form would be filled out by each parent and returned to the school office at the
beginning of the school year. This form is modeled after the survey that Sr. Maria did
with parishioners during Mass in the fall.
ACTION ITEM: Commission members should give Angela Hautman feedback
regarding any changes that should be made on the form.
c. Election Committee
Terri Brown is collecting names of potential candidates for the Education
Commission.
Respectfully submitted,
Craig Maliborski
