Education Commission 2007/2008

The primary concern of the Education Commission is the educational development of our school.  The Constitution and By-Laws of the Education Commission are contained here for your reference:  Constitution and By-Laws

This year our Education Commission members recommended the following initiatives to concentrate on this school year:

• Create a Volunteer program to more effectively utilize the talents and treasures of our valuable parish members
• Work on a Marketing program to increase awareness in the community about our wonderful school
• Research requirements for establishing a Preschool at Our Lady of Lourdes and determine the feasibility of such an endeavor
• Evaluate the Lunch Period at Our Lady of Lourdes from all aspects including:  nutrition, allotted lunch period, cost of reinstating daily hot lunch
• Review the existing Discipline policy and implement change where needed

If time permits, there were additional ideas that we will also attempt to tackle this year. 

The Education Commission meets on the second Thursday of each month, except for the month of July.  The November meeting will be the third Thursday due to the Ladies Sodality Fashion Show.  Our schedule for the 2007/2008 school year is listed here:
