What is Ways and Means?
Ways and Means is a committee set up at Our Lady of Lourdes that consists of different fundraisers that benefit our school. Listed below are all the fundraisers of the Ways and Means Committee. A lot of these fundraisers are set up by local retailers and some national companies that REWARD our school if we shop at their stores or purchase their products. The Ways and Means Committee would like to thank you in advance for your assistance in the betterment of our school.
TARGET - Credit Card. For every purchase made with the credit card, Our Lady of Lourdes School will be rewarded 1%. Remember to mention Our Lady of Lourdes School when applying for the credit card.
MEIJER’S - In the past Meijer’s offered either a credit/charge card or a guest card for OLL to receive rewards. As if May 1, 2007 Meijer’s will be only offering a credit/charge card to accumulate rewards. Simply apply for a Meijer’s credit/charge card online at www.meijers.com/rewards or at any Meijer’s store. Remember to designate O.L.L. as your recipient by providing our six-digit code, which is #357187.
KROGER’S - Kroger Community Rewards
The current Kroger Community Rewards program is changing. They will no longer be using the re-loadable gift cards but instead track it through your Kroger plus card. Any amount that you have loaded onto your gift card will still be credited towards OLL up until April 30, 2012. Starting May 1, 2012, it is tracked through your registered Kroger plus card. In order for OLL to be rewarded through this new program, you must register your plus card at www.krogercommunityrewards.com and enter our code: 80069
It will be necessary for you to enroll your plus card on an annual basis. If you have any questions or concerns about registering your card, please contact Barb Adams at 467-0169. Fuel purchases will not be included in this new program. If you use a Kroger card through Our Lady of Lourdes, we receive 4% of your purchases at Kroger.
If you spend, conservatively, $200 a month at Kroger, we get $8 (4% of $200) . Thank you!
GENERAL MILLS, TYSON, and CAMPBELL’S SOUPS - Simply send in the box tops for General Mills, the Tyson Project A+ label and the 1 2 3 code, and the Campbell Soup labels. For the Campbell Soup and Recipe Mix we need the UPC label. Please send these labels through the school office or place them in the boxes in the Gathering Space.
INK CARTRIDGE RECYCLING - This program was started last year. Please continue to send any size cartridge into school or the Parish Office Center.
OLL SPIRITWEAR SALES - Sales are held throughout the year. This is a great way to wear OLL Spiritwear and help benefit the school at the same time.
SURVEYS THROUGH PROCTER AND GAMBLE - Surveys are done periodically throughout the school year. The success of surveys and the amount it contributes to our school depends on our parish participation. Notices of upcoming surveys are sent home through school.
HOT LUNCHES - Lunches are served to our school age children every Friday of the month. For a small fee, each Friday during the school year, the students can have a hot lunch from a local restaurant. During Lent, hot lunch is served on Thursday.
It is amazing to see how giving of your time and talent can truly make a great deal of difference in the progress of educational dreams at Our Lady of Lourdes. As you can see, your countless volunteer hours are very valuable to Our Lady of Lourdes. Our accomplishments are spread throughout the parish community. Thank you for helping to make Our Lady of Lourdes School the best it can be.
