Living and Loving the Eucharist

The Meeting Place Between Heaven and Earth

Prayer for The Year of the Mass

Thank you, Jesus, for the incomprehensible

gift of the Eucharist,

your body to eat, your blood to drink.

We believe!

Help us to understand this gift you give as

saving action of God,

spiritual nourishment,

grace for living and loving,

power for community, call to service.

When we receive the Eucharist

may we be transformed into the Body of Christ,

just as the bread and wine are transformed into the

very presence of Christ each time Mass is celebrated.

May we love the Eucharist and grow spiritually.

May we live the Eucharist

and become a sign of God’s love to the world. Amen.
