First Saturdays

The First Saturdays Devotion, also called the Act of Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is a Catholic devotion which according to Sr. Lucia of Fatima, was requested by the Virgin Mary in an apparition at Pontevedra, Spain in December 1925.  This devotion consists of going to Confession (offered at 2 p.m. every Saturday at OLL), receiving Holy Communion, reciting five decades of the rosary and meditating for a quarter of an hour on the mysteries of the rosary on the first Saturday for five consecutive months.  We will begin with praying the rosary at 8:30 a.m., followed by a Communion Service.  The church will remain open for meditation.

If anyone would like to lead the rosary or assist in the Communion Service, please contact Erin Dwyer in the Parish Office.
