Online Giving

Sharing your treasure with your faith community demonstrates your belief in our mission and is a reflection of the love, faithfulness and commitment to Our Lady of Lourdes vision. There are many giving opportunities available at our parish and school, such as gifts of cash and stock, and various planned gifts.

MEMORIAL DONATIONS, ONLINE DONATIONS, GIFTS OF CASH, CREDIT CARD AND BANK TRANSFERS, RAFFLE TICKETS.

Gifts of cash are the most common and simplest form of giving. Every dollar you give to Our Lady of Lourdes is tax deductible in the year it is given. The maximum deduction allowed for gifts of cash in one year is limited to 50% of your adjusted gross income. Any amount given in excess of this limitation can be carried over and deducted for up to five subsequent years. For tax purposes, a statement will be mailed to each donor at the end of the year. 

MATCHING GIFTS

Many companies have a “matching gifts” program. Companies may elect to match 50-100% of employee gifts, which can make a significant different in your level of support to Our Lady of Lourdes. Please contact your employer's Human Resource department to inquire. 

ESAP MATCH

The Parish has an opportunity to receive additional ESAP Matching Funds by participating in the Matching Program. When ESAP receives donations for the benefit of Our Lady of Lourdes before December 15, ESAP will “match” those gifts at a rate of 150% to a maximum of $15,000. This is made possible through the George Hubert Jr. Foundation. DOTTIE WESTERFIELD TUITION AID FUND

This fund was created in 2006 in memory of Deacon Tom Westerfield’s wife. The Dottie Fund provides tuition assistance to many school families, enabling parents to send their children to Our Lady of Lourdes School. You may contribute to the fund at any time during the year.  The fund allocation is determined and administered by a team comprised of school leadership,
the pastor and parish business office.

THE SANDY OBERJOHANN MEMORIAL EDUCATION FUND

Mrs. Sandy Oberjohann taught at Our Lady of Lourdes School for 12 years, from 1977 to 1989. After a courageous battle with cancer, she died April 3, 1989 - on the Feast of the Annunciation.  Her Catholic faith lived deep within her and motivated her every decision. She believed the fruit of prayer was faith, and her life of prayer was as natural to her as the air she breathed. Her faith guided her constantly in the magnificent task of planting and nurturing the early seedlings of faith in her students.  Her greatest joy was in watching those seedlings mature and bloom into Christian love.  Her love for the students and faculty of Our Lady of Lourdes was paramount. Catholic education was the vehicle by which she expressed her love of God to others. She believed in a Catholic education with a fervor and a devotion that marked all her years as a teacher.  In a special tribute to this remarkable lady, The Sandy Oberjohann Memorial Education Fund has been established to help with Catholic education at Our Lady of Lourdes and ensure that the school she loved will continue on in excellence for future generations of children.  The Fund is governed by a board comprised of the pastor, the school principal, the business manager and school family parents.

PRAYERFUL JOYFUL GIVING

Because each situation is different, we urge you to discuss various gift options with your family and possible financial advisors to determine what type of gift is most beneficial to you and Our Lady of Lourdes. Please remember the amount you wish to give is a personal decision that must be considered carefully. Financial circumstances differ for each family. Only you can decide what gift you can offer back to the community. We hope that each family will make a gift prayerfully and joyfully, as together we all work to further build the kingdom of God in this wonderful faith community we know as Our Lady of Lourdes Church and School.

TAX INFORMATION

Federal and state laws on income and inheritance taxes encourage charitable giving. All contributions to OUR LADY OF LOURDES are deductible for those who itemize their taxes. A financial statement is mailed to each donor at the end of the year for tax purposes.
